The Voxorama M36 is a very special boutique large diaphragm condenser hand made in Germany. It’s essentially a Neumann K47 capsule (found in later U47s) combined with ultra low-noise, high SPL and extremely linear transformerless FET circuitry. The bottom end extension is fantastic, the mids clear and without any edginess and the top end is very flat, taking addictive EQ perfectly.

The mic was designed by Berlin Neumann expert Andreas Grosser and is manufactured by MBHO. Dr Haun at MBHO makes the diaphragms for lots of high end manufacturers like Bock, Lucas and Brauner and even Josephson before they started making their own.

GOOD ON: Kick drums (even inside!), bass cabinets, guitar cabinets, drum overheads, strings, horns and vocals (especially female). Basically everything.
